Changed your mind?

You have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving it under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

Standard designs:

If you ordered a standard design from our shop, you can return it for a full refund including the original standard delivery cost.

Personalised items:

Items made to your specific instructions (such as adding your own name or personal photo) are exempt from this right and cannot be returned unless faulty.

Conditions:

Items must be returned in their original condition at your own expense. Please contact us at walkingwithpics@gmail.com within 14 days of receipt to start the process. Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receiving the returned item.

Damaged, defective or misprinted items

If your order arrives damaged or there's a manufacturing error, contact us within 30 days of receipt. We'll arrange a free reprint or refund — you don't need to return the item. Please include a clear photo of the issue and your order number.

Lost parcels

If your order hasn't arrived, contact us within 30 days of the estimated delivery date and we'll investigate.

1. Ownership & Copyright

All content on this website, including but not limited to photographs, text, graphics, illustrations, logos and design, is the property of Mark Weekes / Walking With Pics and is protected under UK and international copyright law. Unauthorised reproduction, distribution or use of any content is strictly prohibited and will be pursued accordingly.

2. Intellectual Property & Image Use

All photographs on this website are the original work of Mark Weekes and remain his intellectual property at all times. No images may be downloaded, copied, reproduced, shared or used in any form without prior written permission. Any unauthorised use will be considered a breach of copyright and may result in legal action and a claim for damages.

3. Image Licensing

Images may be available for licensing on an individual, non-exclusive basis. The copyright of all images remains with Mark Weekes at all times. Licensing enquiries should be directed to walkingwithpics@gmail.com. Any agreed licence will specify permitted usage, duration, media and territory. Images may not be sub-licensed, resold or transferred to third parties. All images must be credited ©WalkingWithPics. Failure to provide a credit may incur an additional charge of 20% of the original licence fee. The licensee is responsible for obtaining any third party permissions required for use, including model or property releases where applicable.

4. Store Terms

All products are printed and fulfilled on demand by Printful. By placing an order you confirm that the information provided is accurate and that you are authorised to use the payment method submitted. A contract between you and Walking With Pics is formed only upon dispatch of your order, not at the point of payment. This protects both parties in the event of a pricing error or stock issue. Prices are displayed in GBP and are inclusive of any applicable taxes. Each item is made specifically to order and typically dispatched within 3-5 working days, though fulfilment times may occasionally be longer due to production and supplier demand. Once dispatched, UK delivery is typically estimated at 2-5 working days. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout. Walking With Pics currently ships physical Store products to UK addresses only. Walking With Pics reserves the right to cancel or refuse any order at its discretion. Please refer to our Returns & Refunds Policy for full details of your rights.

5. Disclaimers

Walking With Pics makes reasonable efforts to ensure the accuracy of all content on this website but makes no warranties as to its completeness or reliability. The site is provided on an as-is basis. We reserve the right to amend, update or remove content at any time without notice.

7. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the website following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

1. Booking and quotation

Most commissions are offered as either a Half-Day Commission at £650 for up to four hours on site or a Full-Day Commission at £950 for up to eight hours on site.

Larger estates, multiple locations, additional visits or other projects falling outside these standard commission options will be quoted individually.

The quotation will set out the agreed scope of the commission, photography date, location, price and any additional costs agreed in advance. A booking is not confirmed until the required deposit has been received.

2. Booking deposit, cancellation and rescheduling

A 25% booking deposit is required to secure the agreed photography date. The deposit forms part of the total project price and will be deducted from the final invoice.

Bookings may be cancelled or rescheduled up to 14 days before the agreed shoot date. Rescheduling within this period carries no penalty, subject to availability. If the client cancels more than 14 days before the shoot, the deposit will be refunded in full.

Within 14 days of the shoot date, the booking may still be rescheduled, subject to availability, but if the commission is cancelled the 25% deposit becomes non-refundable.

Where weather, site access or other circumstances outside either party’s reasonable control make the shoot impractical or unsuitable, the booking will be rearranged to another mutually agreed date without penalty.

If Walking With Pics has to cancel because of unforeseen circumstances and a suitable alternative date cannot be agreed, the deposit will be refunded in full.

3. Payment

The remaining balance will be invoiced following completion of the photography commission. Payment is due within 30 days of the invoice date unless different payment terms have been agreed in writing before the commission takes place.

Any additional costs agreed during the commission will be included on the final invoice.

4. Late payment

Where payment becomes overdue, Walking With Pics reserves the right to charge statutory interest and any applicable compensation or recovery costs permitted under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

5. Travel and additional expenses

Travel within 40 miles of Wooburn Green is included within the standard commission price.

Travel beyond 40 miles will normally be charged at 50p per mile and agreed with the client in advance.

Where accommodation, parking, access fees, permits, location fees or other additional expenses are required, these will be agreed before they are incurred. No material additional charge will be added without prior agreement.

6. Access and permission

The client is responsible for ensuring that Walking With Pics has permission to access and photograph all areas included within the agreed commission.

Where the client is not the property owner, the client is responsible for obtaining any necessary permission from the property owner, estate, venue, managing agent or other relevant authority.

Walking With Pics will not knowingly photograph restricted areas or undertake photography where the necessary permission has not been obtained.

7. Scope of photography

The commission will cover the subjects and areas agreed before the shoot. This may include the principal building, grounds, approach roads, gates, outbuildings, exterior architectural details and surrounding landscape where appropriate to the property and agreed brief.

The service is based around Walking With Pics' established black-and-white photographic style.

No guarantee is made that every requested viewpoint, feature or subject will be photographed where access, safety, weather, light, time or other circumstances make this impractical.

8. Weather and conditions

Historic property, estate and heritage photography is often dependent on weather, access and outdoor conditions. Walking With Pics may recommend rescheduling where severe weather, restricted access or other conditions are likely to prevent the commission from being completed to an appropriate standard.

Where weather, access or circumstances outside either party’s reasonable control make the planned shoot impractical or unsuitable, a new mutually agreed date will be arranged without penalty.

Overcast, changing or atmospheric conditions will not automatically be treated as unsuitable, as these may form part of the established black-and-white style of Walking With Pics.

9. Image selection and editing

Walking With Pics retains creative control over the selection and editing of the final photographs. The client will receive a professionally selected set of finished images rather than every photograph taken during the commission.

Images will be supplied in the established Walking With Pics black-and-white style. Unedited files, rejected images and unused photographs are not normally supplied. RAW files are not supplied.

10. Delivery

Final photographs will normally be supplied digitally as high-resolution files suitable for print and general commercial use, together with web-ready files suitable for websites, social media and digital marketing.

An estimated delivery timescale will be provided for each commission. Where circumstances outside Walking With Pics' reasonable control cause a delay, the client will be informed as soon as practicable.

11. Copyright

Copyright in all photographs remains with Mark Weekes / Walking With Pics unless copyright is specifically assigned under a separate written agreement.

Payment for a photography commission does not constitute purchase or transfer of copyright. Any transfer of copyright must be separately negotiated and agreed in writing and may involve an additional fee.

12. Client usage licence

Once the commission has been paid in full, the client receives a broad, non-exclusive licence to use the supplied photographs for their own business, property or organisation.

Permitted uses include the client's website, social media, printed and digital brochures, newsletters, press and public relations, editorial publicity, advertising and general marketing material connected with the client's own property, business or organisation.

The licence is indefinite unless otherwise agreed in writing.

13. Restrictions on use

The client may not sell, license, sublicense or otherwise supply the photographs to unrelated third parties for their own commercial use without prior written permission from Walking With Pics.

The photographs may not be materially altered, manipulated or presented in a way that misrepresents the original work without prior agreement. Normal resizing, cropping and formatting required for websites, social media, brochures and marketing layouts is permitted.

14. Transfer of ownership or business

The usage licence is granted to the client named in the commission agreement or invoice. The licence does not automatically transfer to a new property owner, new business owner or unrelated third party if the property or business is subsequently sold, transferred or substantially restructured.

Any new owner wishing to continue using the photographs should contact Walking With Pics to agree appropriate usage.

15. Third-party use

Where photographs are supplied by the client to designers, printers, web developers, PR agencies or marketing agencies solely for the purpose of producing material for that client, this is permitted.

Those third parties do not acquire an independent right to use the photographs for themselves or for other clients.

16. Portfolio and promotional use by Walking With Pics

Unless otherwise agreed before the commission, Walking With Pics may use selected photographs from the commission for its own portfolio, website, social media, promotional material, exhibitions and examples of commissioned work.

Where privacy, security or confidentiality is important, the client should raise this before booking. Any agreed restriction on Walking With Pics' own use of the photographs should be confirmed in writing.

17. Confidentiality and sensitive properties

Walking With Pics will respect reasonable requests concerning security-sensitive areas, private information and confidential aspects of a property.

The client should identify any restricted areas or information before photography begins. Walking With Pics will not knowingly publish information that compromises the security or privacy of a client or property.

18. Client requests and changes

Any specific requirements should be discussed before the photography date wherever possible. Reasonable requests will be accommodated where they remain within the agreed scope of the commission.

Substantial changes to the brief, additional locations, additional photography days or significant additional work may require a revised quotation.

19. Reshoots

A reshoot requested because the client changes the brief, property presentation, access arrangements or preferred imagery after the original commission may be charged as an additional commission.

Where a genuine technical failure attributable to Walking With Pics prevents delivery of the agreed work, an appropriate remedy will be discussed, which may include a reshoot or refund of the affected part of the commission.

20. Property preparation

The client is responsible for ensuring that the property, grounds and areas to be photographed are prepared and accessible at the agreed time.

Walking With Pics is not responsible for moving furniture, vehicles, equipment, signage, refuse, temporary structures or other objects unless this has specifically been agreed beforehand.

21. Safety

Walking With Pics reserves the right to refuse or stop photography where conditions are unsafe or where access would expose the photographer, client, public or property to unreasonable risk.

This includes unsafe structures, hazardous areas, severe weather, uncontrolled animals or other risks that could not reasonably have been anticipated.

22. Liability

Walking With Pics will take reasonable care when carrying out every commission.

Liability will not extend to indirect or consequential losses arising from circumstances outside reasonable control, including weather, access restrictions, venue restrictions, equipment failure, illness, transport disruption or third-party actions.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability where it cannot legally be excluded under UK law.

23. Image storage and archiving

Walking With Pics will take reasonable steps to retain completed commission files for a period after delivery, but permanent archival storage is not guaranteed.

Clients should download and securely back up their delivered photographs. Walking With Pics is not responsible for maintaining a permanent replacement archive indefinitely.

24. Agreement to these terms

Payment of the booking deposit confirms acceptance of the quotation and these terms unless alternative terms have been agreed in writing.

Any variation to these terms must be agreed in writing between the client and Walking With Pics.

We share your information only with trusted service providers necessary to operate our business:

Cloudflare — our website hosting provider

Printful — our printing and fulfilment partner

Your data may be transferred to and stored in the United States. Both providers use approved legal safeguards including Standard Contractual Clauses to protect your data.

3. Data retention

We keep order data for 6 years following a purchase to comply with UK tax and legal record-keeping requirements.

4. Your rights
